Al-Ahkam is an international journal published by the Faculty of Sharia and Law Universitas Islam Negeri Walisongo in collaboration with the Indonesian Consortium of Sharia Scholars (KSSI). Since 2012, the journal has been published twice a year in April and October.

Al-Ahkam focuses on Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic Law, and Customary Law. Islamic Law and Customary Law that studied from various perspectives i.e. philosophy, history, sociology, anthropology, psychology, and economics. This Journal provides readers with a better understanding of that focuses covering both literary and fieldwork studies through the publication of original research articles.

Al-Ahkam has become a CrossRef Member since the year 2016. Therefore, all articles published by Al-Ahkam will have a unique DOI number.

This journal has been "Accredited" based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia.
